Online: 4-Week Copperplate Calligraphy with the Washington Calligrapher's Guild

The Washington Calligrapher’s Guild (WGC) is excited to have our own Christen Allocco Turney, author of the Copperplate Calligraphy Practice Book, leading four weekly workshops for anyone wanting to improve and refine their Copperplate calligraphy. Christen will show the letterforms step by step, and participants will be able to practice that week, posting homework to Padlet for Christen to see WCG is pleased to offer exclusive pricing for such a workshop and to be the first group to have Christen teach from her new book, available at alloccodesign.com.
Classes will be recorded and available to view for two months after the last class.
LEVEL: Some experience with pointed pen scripts required.

In Person, Norfolk ,VA: Intro to Copperplate Calligraphy (includes book + supplies!)
October 14- November 11, 2023, 2-4 p.m. ET
This in-depth class will teach you all the ins and outs of Copperplate calligraphy. Complete beginners are welcome! Discover the joy of Copperplate calligraphy for yourself in a creative and inspiring environment.

5 week in-person course:

- 5 weeks of 2 hour in-person instruction (10 total hours)
- Homework assignments with review and marked up feedback from instructor and/or tutors

NOTE: If you are left handed, it may take you a little longer to find your groove with calligraphy. This does NOT mean you cannot excel in calligraphy, it just may take you a little longer than others in the class.
